Refund policy

We want you to be happy with what you buy from us. This policy sits alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law — nothing here takes those rights away.

Change of mind — 30 days

If you change your mind, you can return an item within 30 days of delivery, provided it is unused, in the same condition you received it, and in its original packaging with any tags still attached.

You pay the return postage. Once we receive the item and check it, we refund the purchase price to your original payment method. The original postage is not refunded.

Faulty, damaged or not as described

If something arrives faulty, damaged, or not what was described, contact us as soon as you notice and send a photo. We cover the return postage and give you a replacement or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Under the Australian Consumer Law you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Made to order and custom items

Items made to your own measurements, fabric choice or specification cannot be returned for change of mind, because they cannot be resold. Your rights for faulty or misdescribed custom items are unchanged.

How to start a return

Email maxmattressandfurniture@gmail.com with your order number and what the issue is. We reply with a return address and instructions. Please do not send anything back before contacting us.

Refund timing

Once we receive and inspect the return, we process the refund within 5 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take a further 3–10 business days to show it on your statement.

Returning in person

If you are nearby, you are welcome to return an item to our workshop at 95 Five Islands Road, Cringila NSW 2502. Please email first so we can arrange a time.
